Portraiture is an old love of mine - I spent many school hours sketching my friends and teachers. When I draw or paint someone, a feeling of deep empathy grows. Through the lines and the colours I convey what makes them unique and beautiful. In this exchange, portraits serve as mirrors, reflecting not only the model's mystery but also inviting us to explore our own emotions and narratives.

"Mister Buisson" (buisson means bush in French) is a little bush embracing human habits. Mr. Buisson illustrates with humour the disconnect between humans and nature, and challenges us to reconsider our relationship with the more-than-human: if Mr. Buisson can step in human shoes, could we try to step in theirs?
